Emmaus Bristol is a working community, where people access a long term home while they get back on their feet after experiencing homelessness. Their residents, called 'companions', run and operate their social enterprises - three charity shops, a furniture collection and delivery service, house clearance services and an ebay store. Companions train at the social enterprises to build work skills, with a goal to eventually get into independent employment and living. They can access courses, higher education and receive food, their own bathrooms and living space, a wellbeing fund and weekly financial living support.

Physionet collects surplus physiotherapy and related equipment across the UK. Once checked, it is shipped to countries across the world where these items are then distributed to people who would not normally have access to them.

The SOFA Project have sites in Old Market and Gloucester Road. They take most furniture and some white goods.

South Bristol Toy Library is a small, volunteer run local charity and a brilliant resource for children, parents and carers in South Bristol. They encourage free play, the sharing and reuse of toys and aim to support the development of children from all backgrounds.
