Materials, Building and DIY:

  • Bristol Wood Recycling Project - a social enterprise that aims to benefit the community and environment by taking wood that would have gone to waste and creating something out of it instead. They collect the wood from you, but it costs money. Find out more about collections here.

  • Children’s Scrapstore - you should call up our warehouse team on 0104 914 3139 to see if we can accept the donations of the amount or type of material you have. If it’s a small donation, you can bring it in and we can see if we can accept it then.

  • Bristol Waste Recycling Centres - you can take your materials/DIY waste to the local recycling centres. Here is more information as to what can be taken there.

  • Community Repaint - a network that takes leftover paint and redistributes it at an affordable rate to charities, families, communities and individuals. You can take your leftover paint to one of their drop-off points if it’s from your home, and for businesses, you’ll have to provide details of your paint.

  • Olio app - you can offer and give away your items to other members of your local community. This could work especially if you’ve just finished DIYing and have some left over items, and it’s exactly what someone else needs to finish their DIY!
