Clothes:
Charity shops - you can take the clothes in a bag to donate at any charity shop and ask a member of staff where to leave them, don’t leave them outside.
Clothing banks - there are many clothing banks dotted around locally. Remember not to leave them on the floor if they don’t fit since this is considered fly-tipping. Bristol Waste Recycling Centres have clothing banks as well. The clothes just need to be clean, dry, useable, and in a bag.
Children’s Scrapstore - we have a clothing bank outside of our store where you can donate your clothes. Please don’t leave it on the floor if it’s full!
Sell on Depop or Vinted - these are the two most popular buying/selling apps and websites. You can list your items on Depop or Vinted, and other people on the app will buy your items! It’s a good way to make some money back from the clothes you don’t want or need anymore.
H&M Recycling Scheme - if you bring in a bag of your clothes that you don’t want anymore to any H&M store, they will give you a £5 voucher and will make sure that all garments are re-used, re-worn or recycled and 0% go to landfill.
Upcycle - could you maybe give your old clothes a new life? Here are some fun and fairly easy ways to upcycle your old clothes.
